About the PDF Editor
The editor opens a PDF in your browser and lets you add text boxes, highlighted areas, freehand drawings, rectangles, ellipses, lines, arrows, PNG or JPG images and a signature that you draw or upload. You can also rotate, duplicate, insert, delete and reorder pages. When you click Save PDF, everything you added is drawn permanently into the page content, so it looks the same in every PDF reader and cannot be hidden like a comment.
The Edit Text mode lets you click a line of existing text and retype it. A PDF stores text as glyphs placed at exact positions in an embedded font, so the editor cannot rewrite the original line. Instead it covers the old text with a white box and writes your new text on top in the closest standard font (Helvetica, Times or Courier). That is fine for a typo, a date or an amount on a plain white page, but it shows on coloured backgrounds, and the original text is still in the file underneath, so never use it to hide confidential information.
A typical job: you need to sign and return an agreement. Open the PDF, go to the last page, click Sign, draw your signature and drag it onto the signature line, then add a Text box with the date and click Save PDF. How to use the PDF Editor

Open your PDF
Drop a PDF onto the editor or click Select PDF File (up to 50 MB). The first page opens, with page thumbnails in the sidebar.

Add text, markup or a signature
Choose Text, Highlight, Draw, Rect, Circle, Arrow, Line, Image or Sign in the toolbar, then click or drag on the page. Switch to Select to move items, and use the formatting bar to change size, colour, style or line width.

Change existing text if needed
Choose Edit Text, click a line of text in the PDF, type your change and press Enter. Press Esc to cancel the edit.

Arrange the pages
Use the Pages bar to rotate, duplicate, add a blank page before or after, or delete the current page. Drag a thumbnail to move a page.

Save PDF
Click Save PDF to download a copy with all your changes applied. The file on your device is not changed.
What it can do
Text boxes with basic formatting
Bold, italic, sizes from 6 to 96 pt, any colour, and left, centre or right alignment.
Signatures and images
Draw a signature in black, blue, red or green ink, or add a PNG or JPG of one. Images and signatures can be moved, resized and rotated.
Markup tools
Highlight areas with adjustable colour and opacity, draw freehand, and add rectangles, ellipses, lines and arrows, with an eraser plus undo and redo.
Page management
Rotate pages by 90 degrees, duplicate a page, insert blank pages, delete pages and reorder them by dragging thumbnails.
Repeat items on every page
Copy to All Pages places a selected text box, image, shape or highlight on every page, which is handy for a stamp, logo or initials.
Limitations
- Added items are merged into the page content when you save, so they cannot be edited or removed later as separate comments, here or in other PDF apps.
- Text you add or change uses the standard PDF fonts, which only cover Western European (Latin) characters. Symbols such as ₹, emoji and scripts such as Hindi cannot be saved; the editor shows a message instead.
- Editing existing text covers the original rather than deleting it, so it is not suitable for redaction. It only works on unrotated pages with selectable text, not on scans.
- Interactive form fields cannot be filled in, and undo and redo do not cover page operations or edits to existing text.
- Password-protected PDFs and PDFs with editing restrictions must be unlocked first with the PDF Password tool. Reordering pages by dragging thumbnails may not work on touch screens.
Privacy
Your PDF is opened, rendered and saved by JavaScript in your browser, using the PDF.js and pdf-lib libraries served from FlexyPdf’s own site. The file, the text you type and your signature are never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change words that are already in the PDF?
Yes, with Edit Text, if the page has real text (not a scan) and is not rotated. The replacement font is picked from the original font name (a bold serif font becomes Times Bold, for example), so it can look slightly different from the surrounding text.
Is a signature added here the same as a digital signature?
No. The tool places a picture of your signature on the page, like signing a printout and scanning it. It is not a certificate-based digital signature, so it does not prove who signed or reveal later changes.
Why does saving fail when my text contains ₹ or Hindi?
The editor writes text with the 14 standard PDF fonts, which use a Western character set without the rupee sign, emoji or Indian scripts. Write "Rs." instead of ₹, or add the text as an image, for example a screenshot inserted with the Image tool.
Does the editor work on a phone?
Yes. On smaller screens the tools open from a floating button, and there is a full-screen mode. Precise placement is easier on a larger screen.
