About the Countdown Timer
Type hours, minutes and seconds, or click one of the presets (1, 5, 10, 15, 25, 30 or 45 minutes, or 1 hour), then press Start. The time left is shown in large HH:MM:SS digits with a progress bar underneath. When it reaches zero the digits turn red, a "Time's Up!" message appears and the page plays a short beep.
The timer works out the finishing moment from your device clock when you press Start and measures the time left against it, rather than counting ticks. A busy or slow page therefore does not make it drift. Pause stores the exact time remaining, and Resume continues from there.
Use it for things that need a fixed block of time: a 25-minute focus session in the Pomodoro style, a 10-minute break, timed exam practice, a presentation slot, a workout interval or something in the oven. For example, a teacher can click 15 min before a class test, project the screen and let students see the time left in big digits.

How to use the Countdown Timer

Set the time
Type values into Hours, Minutes and Seconds, or click a preset button such as 5 min or 1 hour.

Start the countdown
Press Start. The input boxes are replaced by the running HH:MM:SS display and a progress bar.

Pause or reset
Press Pause to stop and Resume to carry on from the same point. Reset clears the countdown and returns to the input boxes.

When time is up
A beep plays and "Time's Up!" appears. Press New Timer to set another countdown.

Clock-based accuracy
The time left is calculated from the finishing time, so it does not drift if the page updates slowly.

A half-second 800 Hz tone plus a red "Time's Up!" message at zero.
Limitations
- It counts down a duration; it cannot count down to a specific date and time.
- No sharing, embedding, saved timers, custom sounds or repeating intervals.
- Browsers slow down timers in background tabs, so the beep may come late if the tab is hidden. The time shown is correct again as soon as you return to the tab.
- The beep is quiet and short, and it is silent if your device is muted.
Privacy
The timer runs entirely in your browser; no data about your timers is sent to FlexyPdf.
Frequently asked questions
Will the timer keep running if I switch to another tab?
Yes, it keeps counting because it compares the clock with the finishing time. Some browsers delay the code that plays the beep in hidden tabs, though, so keep the timer tab visible if you need the alert exactly on time.
Why is there no sound when the time is up?
Check that your device is not muted and that the tab is not muted in the browser. The page prepares the sound when you press Start, which browsers require before a page may play audio.
Can I set a timer longer than one hour?
Yes. Type the number of hours into the Hours box, for example 3 hours and 30 minutes for a long exam. The display counts down in hours, minutes and seconds.
What is the 25 min preset for?
25 minutes is the classic Pomodoro work interval: work for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and repeat. Both lengths are available as presets.
